Learn pysanky, a resist process similar to batik, and learn to create surprisingly intricate designs on an egg shell surface.
Students will use kistka – traditional tools for holding hot wax – to draw designs on the surface of eggs, and then dye them. Students can create their own designs or use templates from traditional pysanky.
Students will leave the class with a large decorated egg.
